About what we do

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is housed within the Office of Global Engagement (OGE). Its primary functions include:

Advance the internationalization strategy of the University of Mississippi
Serve as advocate for the University’s international community
Assist prospective international students with application, admissions and enrollment services
Assist enrolled international students with arrival, adjustment and immigration advisory services and programs which support their acculturation and integration
Assist international faculty, scholars and staff with advisory services related to their employment and relocation to the USA
Assist academic units in the development and facilitation of institutional or program-specific international collaborations programs

To be considered for the International Students Scholarships at 2024/23, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Must be classified as a foreign student for tuition fee purpose.
Must have obtained relevant certificate required for admission into a United States’ institution of higher learning.
Must demonstrate excellent academic and leadership abilities.
Must be proficient in the use of written and spoken English.
Must be available to begin the 2024/23 academic session if successful.
