How to Transfer Your INEC Voter Polling Unit: On this page, you will learn how to transfer your polling unit to another unit closer to you.
Please try to transfer your polling unit to the one that is closest to your house and encourage your neighbours to do same.
This is to enable you partake in the forth-coming 2024 presidential elections more conveniently.

How to Transfer Your INEC Voter Polling Unit.
On the INEC Continuous Voter Registration Portal, once you register as a new voter, you can Pre-Register online, or as a Registered Voter, you can Review your Voter Registration, Request to Update your Information or Transfer your Voter Registration to another Polling Unit.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
- The ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ends by 30th June 2024, in 17 days.
- This will enable the Commission to clean up the registration data, print the Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) and compile the register ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
- Online registration ends 30th June, 2024. You must complete your application and schedule your appointment for biometric capture before then.
Transfer of Voter’s Card.
Don’t go to join the long queue at INEC Office.
- Firstly, go to https://cvr.inecnigeria.org
- Services
- Voter Transfer
- Create account with your email address
- Login with your email
- Open the link sent to you in your email
- Fill out the form provided and your new address
- Go through your application to be sure no mistake
- Save as instructed.
- Use your phone to snap and upload 2 of your photos (First photo with serious face and the second with smiling face)
- Finally, click on Submit
Wait for when it is ready and INEC send you message (on your phone and or your email) where to pick your card (around your new place of abode).

How to Check Voters’ Registration Status Online.
If you are a registered voter, check your status via link below. It is seamless, innovative and reliable.
You can use your Voter’s Identification Number (VIN) or your name and date of birth to locate your registration.
Simply follow the steps below:
1.) You can check your voter registration status by clicking this link > https://voters.inecnigeria.org/
2.) Select State
3.) Surname
4.) Date of Birth
5.) Click on check status now.
NOTE: If your details are not in the database please go and register.
