University of Exeter Scholarships, Funding for Taught Masters & Research Programmes: At the University of Exeter Business School, we want to ensure studying for a Masters remains accessible to the brightest minds of the future, regardless of financial background. This is why we provide over £1 million in postgraduate scholarships.
Scholarships are not awarded in conjunction with other scholarships – in the event of you being eligible for more than one award the greater award will be given.

Specific scholarships for September 2024 are as follows:

Global Excellence Scholarships – Postgraduate Taught (Masters)
A range of full, £10,000 and £5,000 scholarships are on offer in the following subject areas:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Economics
- Business and Management
You can apply for one of these scholarships if you:
- are classified as an International student for fees purposes (including any EU students required to pay International fees); and
- already hold an offer for an eligible full-time Postgraduate taught degree at the University of Exeter Business School, commencing in September 2024.
All full-time Postgraduate taught degrees in the above areas are eligible, except the following:
- Ineligible Postgraduate taught programmes – online programmes,Exeter MBA, MRES programmes and Postgraduate Diplomas.

Kolade Scholarship
Two scholarships of £12500 are available to students who have had an application accepted to one of the Business School MSc programmes for September 2024 entry. These will be awarded to two academically gifted and talented candidates resident in the UK or continental Europe, who would not be able to study without this financial assistance.
This scholarship is funded by donations from a Business School alumnus. As part of the funding agreement the awardees will be expected to communicate with and meet the donor during their course.
The scholarship requires you to have an English language level of IELTS 7.0 with no section less than 6.0, or equivalent. You will need to provide evidence of funding received during your undergraduate degree. For more information please see our Funding Database.

Broad Reach Scholarship
One scholarship of £20,000 is available to students who have had an application accepted to one of the Business School MSc programmes for September 2024 entry. This will be awarded to an academically gifted and talented candidate resident in the UK, who would not be able to study without this financial assistance.
This scholarship is funded by donations from a Business School alumnus. As part of the funding agreement the awardee will be expected to communicate with the donor during their course.

SEO London Scholarship
To encourage and support more diversity in postgraduate Finance and Business programmes for UK Black Women, one scholarship of £10,000 is available to students who have had an application accepted to one of the postgraduate Finance and Business programmes for September 2024 entry. These will be awarded to one UK (Home) fee-paying female student, with one of the following categories of ethnicity: Black African, Black Caribbean, Black Other, Mixed – White and Black Caribbean, Mixed – White and Black African, Other mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or Black Other).
This scholarship is funded by donations from a University of Exeter alumnus. As part of the funding agreement the awardee will be expected to meet with the donor during their course.
Scholarship recipients are required to demonstrate the following: academic ambition, future career ambitions, a genuine need for the scholarship and how this will support their ambitions, a sense of social responsibility and willingness to engage with the Exeter community.

African Development Bank (AfDB) Virtual Internship Program 2024
University of Exeter Business School Online Programme Scholarship
The University of Exeter Business School Online Programme Scholarship recognises achievement and ambition. Awards of £5,000 (MSc students) and £750 (single module students) are available to Home and International students with an offer to study the MSc International Business (Online) programme of study in May 2024 or September 2024.
Students are asked to submit a Personal Statement outlining their interest in International Business, what they are hoping to learn, what their future ambitions are and how their studies will help to achieve them. For more information please see our Funding Database.
Please note this award is only open to offer holders of online study programmes.
How to apply
Applications are assessed on a rolling basis and students will be informed of the outcome within two weeks of their funding application. The final closing date for this award for students starting the course in May 2024 is 1st May 2024.
For students wishing to apply for the September 2024 programme, applications will open on 1st June 2024 and the closing date will be 12th September 2024.
