What is Bureau for Public Procurement?
The Bureau of Public Procurement is the regulatory body that is responsible for monitoring and providing oversight for public procurement of goods, services or constructions in Nigeria.
The Public Procurement Act 2007 established the Bureau of Public Procurement as the regulatory authority responsible for the monitoring and oversight of public procurement, harmonizing the existing government policies and practices by regulating, setting standards and developing the legal framework and professional capacity for public procurement in Nigeria.

BPP Contractor Registration Requirements.
Here are the requirements for BPP contractors registration online via the www.federalcontractors.bpp.gov.ng portal. However, No payment is required in order to be registered on the system.
Companies with less than fifteen (15) personnel are not required to pay pension contributions on behalf of their employees, and as such do not require a National Pension Commission (Pencom) compliance certificate.
Companies with less than five (5) personnel or less than Fifty (50) Million Naira annual turnover are not required to pay Industrial Training Funds (ITF) and as such do not require ITF compliance certificate.
Any false declaration and submission could lead to prosecution, debarment and disqualification for 10 years from public procurement in line with the provision of section 58 of PPA, 2007.

Log into the system through the domain; federalcontractors.bpp.gov.ng or the Categorization and Classification System link on the Bureau’s website, www.bpp.gov.ng and click on an icon labelled “Contractor Registration” to register your firm.

The National Database for the Registration, Categorization and Classification of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers is an online system that Registers, Categorizes and Classifies Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers (CCSPs) doing business or intending to do business with the Federal Government of Nigeria.
To register your company on the system, you will provide your Company (CAC) Registration Number, Company Type, FIRS (TIN), Company Address Details and Company’s Contact Information. On successful completion, your credential (Username and Password) is sent shortly to the Unique Contact Email Address provided. Check your email for your credential (Username and Password).
