How To Check 2020 WAEC Results in Seven Easy Steps: The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), on Monday, November 2, 2020, released results of the 2020 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), this is as the process of checking the results has been simplified for the candidates.

2020 WASSCE Results: While briefing the media at the announcement of the release of the results, the head of the National Office of WAEC, Patrick Areghan, at the WAEC National Office in Lagos, said the results are being uploaded on the results websites and candidates who sat for the examination and also fulfilled their financial obligations to the council can access their performance on its website.

How To Check 2020 WASSCE Results in Seven Easy Steps.

Areghan stated that the Results Checker PIN and Serial Number which are required by candidates to check their results online are contained on the candidate’s Smart Identity Card used during the conduct of the examination. He said the certificates of candidates whose results have been fully processed and released will be ready within the next 90 days with effect from today, Monday, November 2, 2020.

He said 1,549,740 candidates registered for the 2020 examination while 1,538,445 candidates eventually sat for the examinations.

The examinations also saw 780,660 of the candidates being male while 757,785 were female representing 50.74 percent and 49.26 percent respectively

“The results of 215,149 candidates, representing 13.98 per cent of the total number of candidates that sat the examination, are being withheld in connection with various reported cases of examination malpractice,” he added.

“The cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the appropriate Committee of the Council for determination in due course.”

“The examination was also administered to candidates from some schools in the Benin Republic, Ivory Coast, and Equatorial Guinea where the Nigeria curriculum for Senior Secondary School is being used, he added.

How to Check WAEC Results 2020.

This is the process of checking the results of the recently released West African Examinations Council.

  1. Go to https://www.waecdirect.org. which is the WAEC result checking portal.
  2. Enter your WAEC Examination Number in the required column.
  3. Select your Examination Year
  4. Select your Examination Type which is “school candidate result”.
  5. Then enter the Card Serial Number.
  6. Enter the Card PIN afterward.
  7. Finally, click the “Submit” button to get your 2020 WASSCE Results.
