University of New South Wales (UNSW) Faculty and Donor Funded Scholarships 2024/2025: Applications are currently welcomed from eligible and outstanding students for University of New South Wales UNSW Faculty and Donor Funded Scholarships. These scholarships are available to international students enrolling for postgraduate studies.

The scholarships are available to full-time and part-time candidates. The duration and payment of the scholarships will be pro rata if awarded to a part time candidate.

ARC Centre of Excellence Scholarship for Automated Decision-Making UNSW   

The purpose of the Scholarship is to support PhD candidates working on a topic related to the sociocultural aspects of automated decision-making in health or medicine under the supervision of Professor Deborah Lupton at the UNSW Node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making + Society. $30,000 annual living allowance for up to 4 years.

ARC Indigenous Scholarship in Early Childhood Education and Care

The ARC Linkage Project responds to enduring inequalities in children’s participation in high quality early childhood education and care (ECEC). The PhD position requires a first or upper. The award covers $42,000 annual living allowance for up to 2 years for Masters by Research, and up to 3.5 years for PhD second-class Honours degree (Honours 2/1) or a completed MA by Research degree (or equivalent qualifications).

ARC Laureate PhD Scholarships in The Regulation of the Data Revolution

The Faculty of Law & Justice, UNSW Sydney, wishes to offer two PhD Scholarships for applicants with outstanding research potential and an interest in how society might best regulate the rise of data and its algorithmic analysis. This award covers $28,597 p.a, plus Faculty top-up ($5,000 p.a.) Up to 4 years, subject to confirmation of candidature and satisfactory progress.

ARC PhD Scholarship in Design

This PhD scholarship is available for exceptional students to complete a PhD in Design supervised by Scientia Professor and ARC Laureate Fellow Dennis Del Favero (UNSW, School of Art & Design) and Professor Maurice Pagnucco (UNSW, School of Computer Science & Engineering) beginning in 2024. The scholarship is available to undertake a practice-based design research PhD, which will focus on a range of areas including interaction and visual design. It covers $33,281 annual living allowance for up to 3 years, beginning in 2024.

ARC PhD Scholarship in Immersive Data Visualisation

One scholarship is available for an exceptional student to complete a PhD in Immersive Data
Visualisation supervised by Scientia Professor and ARC Laureate Fellow Dennis Del Favero
(UNSW, iCinema Centre, School of Art & Design), Professor Maurice Pagnucco (UNSW,
School of Computer Science & Engineering) and A/Professor Tomasz Bednarz (UNSW,
EPICentre, School of Art & Design) beginning in 2024. The scholarship is available to
undertake postgraduate research in the area of Data Visualisation for AR/VR technologies. Covers $27,609 for up to 3 years (tax free).

Covers $15,000 p.a. top-up award for 3.5 years for a PhD.

National Heart Foundation

During the course of this PhD the successful candidate will undertake a range of computational and experimental testing to develop the next generation of stent designs. These are commonly used small scaffolding mesh wire devices to open blocked arteries and restore circulation. The work promises improve the lives of more than 2 million stent patients each year world-wide. It covers $43,281 for up to 3.5 years (tax free).

NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) Scholarship for Masters / PhD in Multiple Sclerosis Research

We are offering a scholarship for a full-time Masters or PhD student to work on a research project aiming to improve walking in people with Multiple Sclerosis. The project is funded by MS Research Australia and Multiple Sclerosis Limited and involves an initial cross-sectional study to determine the impact of muscle weakness on impaired walking in people with MS, followed by a randomised-controlled trial to test an effective approach to improve walking in people with MS. This covers $30,000 pa for up to 3.5 years.
